Announced minimum wage adjustment for 2026
The increase takes effect on January 1
In the December 24 edition of the Federal Official Journal, through Decree No. 12,797/2025, the new minimum wage value was published, increasing from BRL 1,518.00 to BRL 1,621.00 as of January 1, 2026. The adjustment applied was 6.79%.
The decree also set the daily wage and hourly wage, which will be BRL 54.04 and BRL 7.37, respectively.
