DPC contributes to Subnational Doing Business in Brazil 2021, published by the World Bank

For the first time, the project presents detailed data about the business market in all Brazilian states

Domingues e Pinho Contadores was one of the companies selected to collaborate with the World Bank in surveying information to develop the Subnational Doing Business in Brazil 2021 report. The results of the study, which comparatively analyzes the business market in the 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District, were disclosed in June in the project's official website.

This is the first time the World Bank takes part in the survey of detailed data about the market business in all states of Brazil. This report meets a request of the General Secretariat of the Presidency.

São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Roraima are the states where it is easier to open and keep a business, according to the report that measures the regulation of small and medium-sized national companies' activities, according to five steps: setting up a company, obtaining building permit, registering properties, paying taxes and performing contracts.

"This guide is essential for entrepreneurs and investors, because it presents an overview of good practices and challenges for businesses in the national scenario. It is a great pleasure to collaborate in some way to such an important and great initiative", says Adriana Costa, DPC director who contributed information to the report.

Nine years ago, DPC also helped preparing Doing Business, one of the main World Bank publications world wide. In 2021, the report's 18th edition compares quantitative and qualitative information of 191 economies. The disclosure will happen soon.
