The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has postponed the implementation of the electronic Social Security Professiographic Profile (PPP), which would commence in 2022. Because of this change, the implementation is going to take place in 2023.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has postponed the implementation of the electronic Social Security Professiographic Profile (Perfil Profissiográfico Previdenciário, or PPP), which would commence in 2022. Because of this change, the implementation is going to take place in 2023.
The formalization of this decision was published on Ordinance No. 1,010, of December 24, 2021, that has amended the provisions of Ordinance No. 313/2021, intended to settle this issue.
Therefore, as of January 1, 2023, the PPP is going to be exclusively issued in electronic form, based on the information provided as Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) events on eSocial, for the insured of the obligated companies.
PPP in handwritten form will not be accepted as proof of right or eligibility before Social Security offices for periods worked as from January 1, 2023.
It is worth noting that, until a definite electronic PPP implementation, employers remain mandated to fulfill the obligation in written form.
PPP is the document that presents the employee’s work record and contains information that might be taken into consideration for special retirement applications. The issuing responsibility is on the employer.
Employers must pay attention to the fact that this extension does not alter the calendar for the report of OSH information to eSocial.
The demand for those who are part of groups 2 and 3, for example, is kept; submit these events as from January 10, 2022.
The following events must be submitted: 2210 (work-related accidents or illnesses); 220 (information on Occupational Heath Certificates, or Atestados de Saúde Ocupacional, also ASO – medical exams according to the Regulatory Standard-7, or NR-7) and 2240 (information on the risks that lead to special retirement, per the Technical Report on Work Environment Conditions, also known as LTCAT – Laudo Técnico das Condições Ambientais do Trabalho).
