Manuel Domingues e Pinho honored for his business career and contribution to the Portuguese-Brazilian community

DPC’s founder was named Personality of the Year at a ceremony celebrating the 115th anniversary of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce

On September 19, the career of Manuel Domingues e Pinho, founder of DPC, was celebrated at a tribute held at the São Clemente Palace in Rio de Janeiro. He was named “Personality of the Year” during the 115th-anniversary celebration of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rio de Janeiro.

The celebration covered various chapters of a journey marked by hard work, entrepreneurship, and a commitment to the institutions of which Manuel has been, and continues to be, a part.

His Portuguese roots and the relationship between the two countries have always held a special place in his journey. Manuel has dedicated more than two decades to the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rio de Janeiro, having served as the institution’s president from 2018 to 2022.

He maintains a close relationship with the organization, its members, and associates, preserving the bonds forged over many years. Among the honors he received at the ceremony, Manuel was presented with a plaque of recognition from the City Council and also from the Vasco da Gama club.

The celebration was attended by Joana Gaspar, Consul General of Portugal in Rio de Janeiro; Creuza de Abreu Vieira Coelho, president of the Chamber; other directors of the organization; and representatives from member companies.

Adriana Costa, Fabiana Soares, Gloria Cunha, Luciana Uchoa, Luiz Caldas, Marluci Azevedo, Rita Araujo, Raquel Lammel, and Pinho, William Pinho, all directors of the DPC, attended the event to honor the evening’s honoree.
