The updates reflect the improvements implemented in the Restricted Production environment and include a new URL for accessing DeRE services, as well as adjustments to event layouts, XSD files, validation rules, and field standardization. DUIMP will have new requirements for IBS and CBS as of September 2026
Gov.br Portal, August 20, 2026 – As of September 27, 2026, the new functionalities of the Single Import Declaration (DUIMP) related to the implementation of IBS and CBS will go into production in the Siscomex Single Portal, bringing relevant changes to import procedures.
Among the changes, the mandatory provision, for each DUIMP item, of the location of the consumption operation stands out, including the indication of the destination State and municipality. This information is essential for applying the new consumption taxation system.
Data related to other taxes and duties applicable until the release of the goods will also become mandatory, including in cases where there is no amount payable. Whenever amounts are reported, the importer must maintain the respective calculation details attached to the operation’s dossier.
Another change involves the CST and cClassTrib codes. With the new version, the importer will no longer be required to manually complete the cClassTrib field. The definition of these codes will be performed automatically by the system, based on the legal grounds selected by the taxpayer when registering the operation.
Therefore, although the process will become more automated, accurate tax classification of the operation remains essential, as the information provided by the importer will be decisive for determining the applicable treatments for IBS and CBS.
Importing companies should take advantage of the testing period already available in the Siscomex Single Portal training environment to assess impacts on their ERPs, foreign trade systems, API integrations, and internal records, ensuring that the required information is available before the system goes into production.
