The Attorney General's Office of the National Treasury (Procuradoria-Geral da Fazenda Nacional - PGFN) extended, until February 28, 2022, the deadline for acceding to the FGTS active debt collection transaction.
It allows for a discount of up to 70% on the amounts owed and extends the payment term in up to 144 installments, depending on the employer profile and the debt. The available proposals can be checked here.
The discount is limited to the debt charges, not involving discounts related to amounts owed to workers.
Employers with a consolidated debt of less than BRL1 million can negotiate. It is also necessary to have prior authorization from PGFN to join.
Interested taxpayers must check if they meet the requirements for membership, as well as the conditions for negotiation.
PGFN has a list of already authorized employers, who can access Caixa Econômica Federal's service channels to carry out the negotiation request (more information here).
Employers who are not listed must request authorization via the REGULARIZE platform (www.regularize.pgfn.gov.br).
