The Federal Revenue of Brazil has extended to May 31 the deadline for submitting the Annual Adjustment of Income Tax Return for Natural Persons. Said extension also covers the Final Return for Decedent and the Definitive Exit Statement. Previously, the deadline had been set for April 29.
The agency published a note stating that the deadline extension aims to mitigate possible setbacks arising from the Covid-19 pandemic that might have hindered the submission of tax returns, seeing as some agencies and companies are yet to have their services back at full capacity.
Taxpayers who have to pay their Income Taxes will also be granted more time. The dates established for standing orders have been changed to May 10 for the payment of the first installment, and to May 31 for the remaining ones. For tax returns submitted after May 10, the payment of the first installment must be made through DARF (Federal Tax Payment Form).
Refunds will follow the previous schedule, unchanged. Thus, the due dates remain as follows:

2nd batch |

4th batch |
5th batch |

June 30 |
