eSocial: companies can now use web module to report OHS events

This April, a new module was made available on the eSocial platform for posting events such as the Communication of Accidents in the Workplace (CAT), health monitoring, and environmental conditions at work.

As a result, employers and specialized professionals will be able to provide information on Occupational Health and Safety – OHS, both through the eSocial and through their own management softwares.

To upload data into the new module, employers must either sign in using their own credentials (electronic certificate, access via gov.br or access code and password) or issue a specific electronic power-of-attorney (proxy) for a company or professional to perform the task.

The OHT module (‘módulo SST’ in Portuguese) provides the necessary employment information for the proper submission of data. Furthermore, the tool has been developed with a more modern design in mind, that aims to be user-friendly.

It should be noted that OHS information is not provided for domestic workers, except when pertaining to Work Accident Communications, as informed on the Domestic eSocial platform itself.
